How do you write a conference presentation abstract? What information and elements should you include in your presentation? How should you handle questions from the audience? There are many elements to consider when developing and delivering a conference presentation. Jessie-Lee McIsaac, a seasoned conference presenter, will share tips and tricks to help you become a great conference presenter. As a former member on the Canadian Public Health Association’s Conference Steering Committee, she will also share some insights from behind the scenes.

Biography

Jessie-Lee McIsaac, Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate Research Scholar at the Healthy Populations Institute, Dalhousie University

Jessie-Lee McIsaac has a PhD in Public Health from the University of Alberta and is a post-doctoral fellow at Dalhousie University funded by Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute. She has a background in health promotion and policy interventions related to chronic disease prevention and skills in case study research, qualitative methodologies, program evaluation and knowledge translation. Dr. McIsaac’s program of research focuses on supporting the implementation of effective strategies to promote child and youth health. During her fellowship, she is working alongside policy and practice partners to study the implementation of school policy interventions that are designed to support healthy eating and physical activity.
