Media Advisory: CPHA's Annual Conference
Public Health 2018 is the meeting place for the public health community to connect, collaborate, innovate, inspire, share and learn. It is a gathering of leaders and change agents from public, private and voluntary organizations that contribute to health and wellness. It is the largest annual public health gathering in Canada and a key knowledge exchange event.
The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) is pleased to welcome the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Canada’s Minister of Health on Thursday, May 31.
New for this year are two, two-day forums, within the conference: vaccination and tobacco control. The vaccination forum will bring together public health professionals to share the latest research, best practices and policies aimed at improving vaccination acceptance and uptake. The tobacco control forum will bring together public health professionals dedicated to reducing tobacco use to share the latest research, best practices and policies to help Canadians lead tobacco free lives. May 31 is World No Tobacco Day.
